Howell Kline Surveying, LLC in Annapolis, MD seeks a curious and motivated Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience across design, drafting, fieldwork, and documentation under seasoned mentors.

You will assist with stormwater systems, grading, profiles, traffic design and site development; draft using AutoCAD/Civil 3D; collect data from surveys and reports; and help prepare cost estimates, schedules, and specifications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to project needs.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects (stormwater, grading, profiles, traffic design, site development).
• Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D under supervision.
• Gather and analyze data from fieldwork, surveys, and reports.
• Assist in reports, documentation, and technical specifications.
• Support cost estimation, project schedules, and approvals.
• Research local codes, environmental standards, and engineering principles relevant to each project.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions.
• Participate in site visits and fieldwork to monitor progress and QC.
