Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC (GMC) invites Engineering Interns for Tuskegee University students to support projects in Auburn, AL and Montgomery, AL. The role involves preparing reports, site plans, permit documents, and construction schedules under engineer supervision.

Qualifying students are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) with AutoCAD/Civil 3D knowledge; field and office exposure is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Civil3D experience preferred.
• A/E or EPC experience is a plus.
• Foundations of Engineering Certificate (EIT) a plus.
• Field (20%) and office (80%) workload.
• Office and field work environments may include varying weather and safety gear requirements.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical skills to routine projects with limited supervision.
• Direct technicians to produce engineering documents accurately and efficiently.
• Perform cross-discipline checks and coordination.
• Review project documents for conformity and QA.
• Assist in defining scope of work with clients and consultants.
