Goodwyn Mills Cawood LLC (GMC) invites a motivated Engineering Intern (TTU) to join our Brentwood and Nashville offices. The role supports ongoing projects by preparing reports, site plans, permit documents, and construction schedules while learning from senior engineers.

The intern will gain hands-on experience across disciplines, collaborate with project teams, and develop professional skills in a supportive mentorship environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD software; Civil3D experience preferred.
• A/E or EPC experience a plus.
• Foundations of Engineering Certificate (EIT) a plus.
• FIELD (20%) AND OFFICE (80%) work distribution.
• Office and field work in varied environments; safety gear may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports, site plans, permit documents, and construction schedules under supervision.
• Direct technicians for production of civil engineering documents for routine projects.
• Coordinate cross-discipline checks and ensure quality assurance of project documents.
• Identify risk management issues and communicate with the Project Engineer as appropriate.
• Participate in client interactions and document preparation with oversight from the Engineer-of-Record.
