Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group is offering a Construction Inspector Aide Intern position for Summer 2027 in our Tampa, FL office. The role involves assisting in investigations, data collection, and testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt, while ensuring work aligns with contract plans and specs.

We seek candidates with at least 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree in ABET-accredited programs; no experience required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by start of internship.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Physically fit to perform manual labor and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Participates in engineering investigations and planning by completing defined tasks.
• Observes construction activities for compliance with contract plans and specs.
• Samples and tests soil density, concrete, asphalt and other materials.
• Documents test results and diary inspections; reports deficiencies to senior staff.
