AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Construction Inspector Aide Intern for Summer 2027 in our Tampa, FL office. You will participate in engineering investigations, collect and analyze data, and observe construction activities for compliance with contract plans and specifications.

Education: must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027. The role requires basic math, ability to follow directions, note-taking, and physical stamina for field

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Understand contract plans and specifications.
• Able to follow directions and take legible notes.
• Physically fit for manual labor and lifting up to 60 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Participates in engineering investigations and planning by completing well-defined tasks.
• Collects and analyzes data using established procedures; performs routine calculations.
• Observes construction activities for compliance with plans and specs; reports deficiencies.
• Samples and tests soil density, concrete, asphalt and other materials.
• Verifies form construction and concrete placements; documents results.
• Writes diary inspection and weather reports; records test results and observations.
• Performs basic calculations to measure and report field quantities.
