Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking engineering students to join our office in 2027. This is not a remote position; interns will use technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables while supporting pre-construction civil engineering design and permitting for multiple projects.

You will learn AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, GIS and more, collaborate with project teams, and gain familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations as you help our clients

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
  • Currently studying in Indianapolis, Indiana; on-site internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil design, planning, permitting, and analysis.
  • Solve problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, GIS.
  • Familiarize with federal, state, and local regulations and client practices.
