Stahly Engineering & Associates seeks an Engineer Intern to support site development projects across Montana and Wyoming. You will learn under licensed professionals, perform data analysis, draft design packages, and contribute to construction documentation.

The role covers field investigations, quantity calculations, and collaboration with related disciplines. Exposure to MicroStation/AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Some College Coursework Completed.
• Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field investigations, analysis of alternative solutions, and project design.
• Perform engineering calculations in support of design projects.
• Calculate construction quantities from plans and specifications to tabulate bid items and estimate construction costs.
• Provide drafting support using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Prepare and route project-related correspondence and maintain project records.
• Assist with writing and editing construction specifications and technical reports.
• Read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals.
• Respond to inquiries from clients, coworkers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to complete work tasks.
• Prioritize special projects and daily workload to ensure timely completion of assignments.
