Job summary

Stantec is seeking a civil engineering intern to join our Boise team. You will work with Senior Engineers on a range of civil projects, contributing to design, drawings, specifications, and calculations while engaging with clients and communities.

You will gain hands-on experience, learn to use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS tools, and participate in field work and site observations under guidance.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Work under the supervision and guidance of professional engineers
Provide basic engineering design for a variety of projects
Develop project drawings, plans, specifications and calculations
Use engineering software and tools to accomplish tasks efficiently
Update documents to meet client and design revision requirements
Develop reports, memos and other project documentation
Work with vendors to provide appropriate equipment and obtain information about their products
Communicate with clients and other consultants as needed
Assist with construction oversight, work with contractors, subcontractors and owners on job sites
Complete construction field reports and review construction submittals, requests for information, change orders, etc.
Provide support for client marketing and assist in proposal development
Provide additional assistance to projects and team members as needed
