Job summary

Kimley-Horn seeks engineering students for an internship in our Phoenix North, AZ office. This is not a remote position. Interns will support the analysis, design, and QC of client deliverables using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D and other software.

You will contribute to pre-construction civil design, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects, while learning regulatory requirements and Kimley-Horn standards. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment in Phoenix.

Qualifications

Pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in one of the listed majors.
Majors include Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biological/Biosystems Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering; also Engineering Technology.
Interns will learn software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.

Responsibilities

Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
Contribute to pre-construction civil design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions.
Develop familiarity with regulations and Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.
