Job summary

Lochner, an Egis company, offers an internship opportunity in transportation engineering with locations in Pittsburgh or Harrisburg, PA. You will perform roadway, bridge, and traffic design under supervision, develop plans and estimates, and contribute to project documentation.

Strong communication and an EIT-favorable path are expected. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration across teams, and exposure to design tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to graduate from an accredited Engineering college program with at least a BSCE in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with CADD software is a plus.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain one prior to graduation.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway, bridge, and/or traffic engineering design under the direction of an experienced Project Manager.
• Work with the project team to develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and perform other generally accepted responsibilities associated with the position.
• Manage and maintain project documentation.
• Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed.
