Job summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. in Duluth, GA, is seeking a dynamic Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to explore fundamentals of site design, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure within a multidisciplinary setting.

This in-person internship offers hands-on learning with our civil, structural, and geotechnical teams, providing exposure to AutoCAD and real project tasks while you balance coursework.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student in an engineering program.
• Two years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate engineering degree.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of AutoCAD.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours during the school break. In-person attendance in Duluth, GA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil, site design, grading, drainage and stormwater projects.
• Support multidisciplinary teams on commercial, residential and industrial facilities.
• Learn fundamentals of civil engineering design in a hands-on internship.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovativeCivil Engineering Intern for our Atlanta office for Summer 2027. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your chosen field! This internship is available for a student who wishes to focus on the fundamentals of civil engineering design as applied to commercial, residential, industrial, and manufacturing facility site design, grading design, drainage and stormwater management, utility infrastructure design, and erosion control design in a multidisciplinary setting.

• Two years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate engineering degree
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of AutoCAD
• Ability to work up to 40 hours during the school break. Flexibility for school schedule/demands will be provided
• This is not a remote position. This role is based in Duluth, GA and requires in-person attendance. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office
