Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Willingness to take direction and learn from senior staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and in a project team.
• Strong written English and technical writing ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with engineering software or willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Willing to travel across Colorado for project sites.

Responsibilities

• Apply principles of materials testing and acceptance for highway construction.
• Assist geotechnical investigations and pavement design work.
• Contribute to research, calculations, and routine engineering analyses.
• Perform office and field tasks with standard techniques.
• Participate in construction inspection, data collection, and CADD production.
• Support engineering reports with analysis and recommendations.
• Assist Construction Management tasks including submittals and scheduling reviews.
• Develop design drawings using CAD tools under supervision.
• Adhere to internal QMS requirements and safety protocols.
• Travel to project sites in Colorado and assist project teams when needed.
