Job summary

County of Orange seeks an experienced Civil Engineering Associate to perform field and office civil engineering work, delivering journey-level analyses and independent recommendations under project leadership. Assignments cover roadway, flood control, hydrology, hydraulics and development support across multiple units.

Successful candidates will contribute to project development, program delivery, and coordination with consultants while ensuring compliance with county standards and safety

Qualifications

Journey-level civil engineering with experience in roadway and flood control projects.
Ability to perform engineering analyses and coordinate project work.
Familiarity with County of Orange regulations, standards and details.

Responsibilities

Developing and evaluating infrastructure projects.
Performing and coordinating civil engineering analyses and studies.
Developing project programming and delivery documents.
Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating engineering plans, specifications, reports, and calculations.
Managing and coordinating projects and consultants.
Conducting field investigations and site evaluations.
Reviewing plans and calculations for residential and nonresidential construction.
