Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Arlington, Virginia office in 2027. This is not a remote position.

You will use technical software daily to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients while contributing to pre-construction civil design, planning, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects. You will learn programs like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, GIS, and gain exposure to federal, state and local regulations.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state and local regulations, and company/client practices.
• Learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
