Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Apple Valley, Minnesota office in 2027. This is not a remote position. You will use industry software to analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables while contributing to civil design and permitting for multiple projects.

You will learn and apply software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS, while developing familiarity with regulations and standards across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • An ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural or Engineering Technology.
  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills to work with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to learn software programs common to civil engineering practice.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis.
  • Solve complex problems and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and company practices.
  • Learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
