  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis, stormwater modeling, drainage calculations, and floodplain evaluations
  • Design storm drainage systems, detention and retention facilities, channels, culverts, outfalls, and other stormwater infrastructure
  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models to evaluate stormwater runoff, conveyance capacity, flood elevations, and drainage system performance
  • Perform watershed analysis, floodplain delineation, flood studies, and flood mitigation evaluations
  • Support FEMA floodplain studies, flood insurance rate map revisions, CLOMR/LOMR applications, and related regulatory processes
  • Prepare drainage reports, stormwater management plans, engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents
  • Support water resources projects through feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, detailed design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration

  • Apply applicable stormwater regulations, drainage criteria, floodplain management requirements, and local, state, and federal design standards
  • Provide project coordination, technical guidance, client interaction, and mentorship based on experience level

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Current water resources, stormwater, drainage, or hydrologic and hydraulic engineering experience within a consulting engineering or AEC environment preferred
  • Experience with stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain analysis, or watershed engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred; EIT candidates actively progressing toward PE licensure will also be considered
  • Experience with applicable water resources engineering and modeling platforms such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HydroCAD, ICPR, StormCAD, or similar discipline-specific software preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, GIS-based analysis, or other civil engineering design and mapping platforms preferred
  • Working knowledge of hydrology, open-channel hydraulics, stormwater management, drainage design standards, FEMA floodplain regulations, and applicable permitting requirements
  • Experience preparing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, drainage reports, stormwater management plans, flood studies, engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents
