Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage water resources and infrastructure projects from planning through final delivery
• Oversee project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple assignments
• Direct technical analyses, studies, modelling efforts, and engineering design activities
• Review and approve engineering deliverables while maintaining quality control standards
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering and technical staff
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams
• Support project planning, permitting, design, and implementation activities
• Assist with proposal preparation, project pursuits, interviews, and client presentations
• Manage client relationships and support long‑term account development initiatives
• Contribute to business development, strategic growth, and operational improvement efforts
• Support staff development, workload management, and team performance objectives
• Represent projects and technical findings during meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain through reciprocity
• 5+ years of relevant experience within water resources, civil engineering, or infrastructure consulting
• Experience managing engineering projects, budgets, schedules, and client expectations
• Strong understanding of engineering analysis, planning, design, and project delivery processes
• Experience using industry-standard engineering, modelling, and design software
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and engineering judgement
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
• Experience mentoring, supervising, or developing junior staff members
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working with public‑sector, private‑sector, or infrastructure‑focused clients is preferred

Desired Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in water resources, stormwater, or hydraulic engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, including H&H analyses and flood studies.
• Background in stormwater management, drainage systems, erosion control, and floodplain projects.
• Familiarity with FEMA-related studies, flood mapping, and regulatory permitting requirements.
• Experience with stormwater modeling platforms such as PCSWMM or similar tools.
• Preferred experience in watershed planning, stream restoration, green infrastructure, and resilience planning initiatives.
