Job summary

TYG is seeking a Civil Engineer to work on redevelopment and mixed-use projects in Detroit and Southeast Michigan. You will handle site design, grading, drainage, and stormwater management while navigating entitlements and permits with city and state agencies.

PM-level candidates will lead teams, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain client relationships. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, have land development or site civil experience, and a working knowledge of AutoCAD

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience in land development, site civil, or related infrastructure.
EIT or PE license preferred.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Michigan local requirements.
Strong communication and ability to navigate complex approvals.

Responsibilities

Redevelopment, infill, and mixed-use projects alongside new residential/commercial development.
Site design for urban conditions including grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
Entitlements, site plan approvals, and permitting with Detroit and Michigan agencies.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and public stakeholders throughout construction.
For PM-level candidates: lead project teams, manage budgets/schedules, own client relationships.
