Job summary

This entry-level role provides a clear pathway to Civil Engineer I–III within 24 months, with on-the-job development and exposure to multiple civil engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college (or Illinois Engineer Intern Certificate, PE license, or Structural Engineer License)
• Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA; if GPA is 2.0-2.5, must also hold Engineer Intern Certificate or PE/Structural Engineer License
• Valid driver's license and ability for district-wide travel
• Working knowledge of civil engineering practices and basic skill with engineering field and office instruments
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to make technical computations
