The City of Eugene invites applications for a Civil Engineer 1/2 in the Public Works Engineering Division. This role involves planning, investigation and design of civic infrastructure including streets, bike paths and traffic signals, with emphasis on transportation projects.

The Civil Engineer 1/2 performs complex professional engineering work in the planning, investigation, and design of public works projects. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of infrastructure projects; candidates with transportation experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
This position was recently created on the Traffic Engineering Team to provide technical expertise and support for the various teams within Public Works Engineering such as Capital Projects Design and Construction, Transportation Planning, and Development Review. This position will also collaborate with other City Departments on transportation-related topics and interact with the development community through permitting, plan review, and traffic impact analysis review. Assignments require the use of judgment and initiative in developing solutions to problems, interpreting technical documents, implementing general policies, and evaluating transportation network priorities.

Civil Engineer 2$46.04 - $62.15 hourly /$95,763.20 - $129,272.00 Annually
The City of Eugene determines starting pay within the range based on relevant education and experience as provided by the applicant in their application materials. This process is consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act (OEPA).
