Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a civil engineer with 1–3 years of site development and civil design experience for our Bay Area office. You will contribute to projects across diverse sectors, focusing on site development, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and grow professionally in a hybrid work environment that supports development and a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (Required).
• Licensing: Civil Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) required.
• Experience: 1-3 years in site development and civil design.
• Software: Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to civil design from permitting through project completion for diverse market sectors.
• Prepare civil engineering plans including site plans, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility plans, ADA accessibility, and other associated improvements using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research jurisdictional codes and manuals to determine design requirements.
• Collaborate with structural, fire protection, mechanical, and electrical teams on complex projects.
