Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer for our Bay Area office to deliver comprehensive civil design, permitting support, and construction assistance. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on projects across markets and potential growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of civil design experience, an EIT, and preferably a registered P.E. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong communication are essential for success in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Civil Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.), required.
• Registration as a Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.), preferred.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in civil design, permitting and construction assistance.
• Experience in site development, grading, drainage and utilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks in a team setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering design and permitting support from feasibility to construction.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on projects in the Bay Area.
• Assist with project scoping, design development and proposal writing.
