Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer in our Bay Area office with 3–6 years of experience providing civil design, permitting and construction support. You will work within a multidiscipline team on site development projects, engaging in feasibility through final design, collaborating on permitting, and supporting proposals and scoping for new work.

Hybrid schedule includes in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Civil Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) required.
• Registration as a Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in civil design, permitting and construction assistance.
• Experience in land development, grading, drainage, site utilities, storm water compliance, ADA accessibility.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and communicate effectively.
• Team player with strong problem-solving skills and a drive to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering design from feasibility through construction support.
• Work within a multidiscipline team across site development projects.
• Assist with permitting, design coordination and construction oversight.
• Support proposal scoping and new project opportunities.
