Job summary

BL Companies seeks a Civil Engineer - Project Manager to oversee land development projects from concept through construction in the Hartford area. You will lead design efforts, manage client relationships, direct project execution, and ensure quality deliverables within scope, budget, and schedule.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years as a civil engineer with a PE license, proven leadership, and experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to serve municipal agencies and private clients in

Qualifications

• PE license required in the state of operation.
• 10+ years of experience in land development engineering.
• Proven leadership experience managing full-time staff.
• Experience with municipal agencies, regulatory bodies, and private sector clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of retail, commercial, and residential land development projects.
• Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and managing expectations.
• Oversee project teams, assign resources, and drive efficiency.
• Ensure projects meet all quality, schedule, and budgetary requirements.
• Present at public meetings and represent clients before agencies and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines within BL Companies and with external partners.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff, fostering a strong learning environment.
