Civil Engineer | Project Manager – Civil/Site Design

We provide civil/site design, land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry.

We are looking for a Civil/Site Engineer | Project Manager who will play both technical and managerial roles in the design, planning, and implementation of site civil design/development projects. You will leverage your expertise in site design and problem-solving skills while collaborating closely with municipal agencies. From initial concept to final plan submission, you will be involved in every stage of the design process to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

This position is based in our new Corporate office in New Albany and involves collaboration within our cross-functional team and company culture.

You will engage in design and manage project aspects including development, site visits, and construction oversight.

Responsibilities

• Act as Design and/or Project Manager for Civil/Site Development projects, including data development, technical analysis, permitting, and drawing preparation.
• Develop Concept, Layout, Preliminary, and Final Engineering Plans.
• Oversee erosion/sediment control plans, utility plans, and permit applications.
• Serve as the technical expert in site layout, utility and grading plans, stormwater analyses, and site development permits.
• Perform civil engineering analyses using various software programs.
• Determine hydrology, develop hydraulic/drainage and stormwater calculations, SWPPPs, and obtain NDPES permits.
• Participate in field observations and construction inspections.
• Communicate with clients regarding project deliverables.
• Develop project proposals and cost estimates.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and quality of work.

• Extensive knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and Project Management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for Civil/Site Design projects.
• Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and remain quality-focused.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of Civil/Site Design experience.
• PE license or near completion.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
