About Us

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named one of Zweig Group’s “Best Firms to Work For”, is a consulting firm comprising engineers, planners, and related design professionals. We are actively seeking a full-time team member for our Kansas City, Missouri office to grow our aviation presence in Missouri. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and a desire to help establish and expand our aviation services in a new market. This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow our aviation capabilities geographically.

Responsibilities
  1. Planning, designing, and constructing civil & transportation projects focused on aviation development.
  2. Leading design tasks and supervising junior staff.
  3. Preparing bidding documents, including plans and specifications, site development, grading, drainage, pavement design, signage, utilities, and project schedules.
  4. Supporting client relationships and business development efforts.
  5. Managing multidisciplinary project tasks and coordinating project activities.
  6. Overseeing construction activities, including site observation and project engineering.
  7. Engaging in community outreach and client prospecting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum five years of civil engineering experience in transportation and civil site development; aviation experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Professional Engineering License, preferably in Missouri.
  • Experience in business development, staff supervision, and use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Willingness to travel periodically.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
