Job summary

EMH&T in Columbus, OH invites a Civil Engineer, PE to join our Transportation Planning and Design team. The role focuses on design or redesign of highways, interchanges, and drainage, with plan reviews and coordination with regulatory agencies and utilities.

You will work on large-scale roadway projects and local government jobs, applying Civil 3D and Open Roads workflows. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow as a professional engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Experience in roadway design and ODOT plan preparation.
• Hands-on design and drafting experience using Microstation/Open Roads/Geopak.
• Working knowledge of roadway vertical and horizontal geometric design per ODOT/AASHTO standards, drainage design, and BMP design.

Job description

EMH&T is currently seeking a Civil Engineer, PE to join our Transportation Planning and Design team located in Columbus, OH.

Our Engineers collaborate with the project team to develop creative solutions to address client needs and solve design and construction challenges that may arise.

Responsibilities

Work includes design or redesign of highways/roadways, interchange design, drainage design, plan reviews, and coordination with public regulatory agencies and utility companies. You will gain experience on a vast array of projects, including large-scale roadway design projects and city/township/county projects, offering a wide variety of scope.
