Job summary

Kleinfelder is searching for a Civil Engineer (P.E.) to join our team in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role involves leading the development of designs and plans for site layout and grading, along with designing erosion and sediment control systems.

Civil Engineer (P.E.) – Locations

• Bridgeport, WV
• Mechanicsburg, PA
• Pittsburgh (Sewickley), PA

Responsibilities

This individual will lead the staff on the development of designs and plans related to:

• Site layout & grading.
• Erosion and sediment control design.
• Post construction stormwater management in multiple state jurisdictions (experience in PA, WV, OH, and MD is preferred).
• Prepare NPDES permit applications.
• Land development applications in accordance with federal, state, and local ordinances.
• Zoning compliances.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in erosion and sediment control design, and post construction stormwater design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, and HydroCAD.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Engineer in Training Certificate Required. Professional Engineering License preferred.
• Understanding of Land Development Processes.
• Understanding of Zoning Ordinance Review & Compliance.
