Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineer (P.E.) to contribute to various development projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, including land development and power grid resiliency. This position requires significant experience in erosion and sediment control as well as post-construction stormwater management.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in erosion and sediment control design, and post construction stormwater design.
  • Engineer in Training Certificate required. Professional Engineering License preferred.
  • Understanding of Land Development Processes.

Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineer (P.E.) to work with our current team on various development projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, including the challenging & rewarding projects relating to land development and power grid resiliency. Other projects the individual may be involved with are commercial, industrial, solar, and mining development projects.

Locations
  • Hunt Valley, MD
  • (Baltimore) Hanover, MD
Responsibilities
  • Site layout & grading.
  • Erosion and sediment control design.
  • Post construction stormwater management in multiple state jurisdictions (experience in PA, WV, OH, and MD is preferred).
  • Prepare NPDES permit applications.
  • Land development applications in accordance with federal, state, and local ordinances.
  • Zoning compliances.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in erosion and sediment control design, and post construction stormwater design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, and HydroCAD.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Engineer in Training Certificate required. Professional Engineering License preferred.
  • Understanding of Land Development Processes.
  • Understanding of Zoning Ordinance Review & Compliance.

Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

The expected salary range for the position is $91,000 - $129,043 per year, in accordance with the Maryland Wage Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
