Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC seeks a Civil Engineer to support the 50th Civil Engineer Squadron at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. The role covers planning, design, construction, and facility operations for new and renovated infrastructure.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, at least five years of relevant experience, and U.S. citizenship. On-site work with potential coordination across agencies is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Structural engineering experience is desired but not required.
• Professional knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
• Familiarity with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural disciplines.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction standards, contracting regulations, health and safety requirements, and environmental laws.
• Experience with program planning, budgeting, and management of project resources and schedules.
• Experience developing project documentation, drawings, specifications, and other technical products.
• Ability to conduct facility and site surveys and inspections and apply results to develop timely and economical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering support for facility and infrastructure projects from planning through construction and completion.
• Develop and review design calculations, cost estimates, schedules, drawings, SOWs, and documentation.
• Support new construction, renovation, and improvement projects involving real property facilities and complex utility systems.
• Review submittals, RFIs, design packages, and provide recommendations for Government review and approval.
• Conduct field investigations, site surveys, facility assessments, and inspections.
• Develop SOW packages and recommendations on project requirements and constructability.
• Support planning, programming, budgeting, and execution by evaluating feasibility, cost, schedule, and environmental impacts.
• Develop Government cost estimates using approved estimating tools.
• Support long-range infrastructure priorities and facility condition assessments.
• Provide input on source selections and technical evaluations; review proposals and change orders.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, planners, contracting personnel, tenant organizations, and external agents.
• Assist in design charrettes and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Utilize CADD, GIS, BIM, and other tools to collect and analyze facility data.
• Apply Federal, state, local, DoD, and Space Force requirements throughout project development.
