Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Civil Engineer to support our Oil & Gas team in Pennsylvania. The role is hybrid, with options to work from Wilkes-Barre or Pittsburgh offices, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on pipeline and site development projects.

You will contribute from design through permitting, gaining exposure to complex, high-impact work and opportunities to expand technical expertise within a people‑first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required; Pennsylvania PE preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong experience with Chapter 102 permitting.
• Experience with Hydraflow, HydroCAD, or similar hydrology/hydraulics software.

Responsibilities

• Support Civil Group Leaders in project management and design execution.
• Perform technical design for pipeline and site development projects.
• Prepare site layout, grading, and earthwork designs for efficient, constructible project delivery.
• Design access solutions, including driveways and access roads.
• Conduct stormwater analyses and design stormwater management systems; prepare supporting calculations, reports, and drawings.
• Develop erosion and sediment control plans, including BMP design and reporting.
• Prepare permit applications and supporting documents for regulatory approvals.
• Attend meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
• Produce construction drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
