Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Project Engineer in our Power Group to join our expanding multi-disciplinary team in the Lehigh Valley, PA; Wilkes-Barre, PA; or Philadelphia, PA locations. This role is ideal for a motivated civil engineer who enjoys supporting power utility projects, solving complex site development, access, permitting, and infrastructure challenges from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 4-8 years of civil engineering experience in power utility or land development.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progress.
• Experience preparing land development, utility site, access, and permit applications.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of local and state permitting processes.
• Experience with stormwater, drainage, and utility infrastructure design.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing to project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil design and analysis for power utility and land development projects.
• Prepare site development, grading, utility, and construction documents.
• Design stormwater, drainage, and utility infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate with power utility clients on access, right-of-way, permitting.
• Coordinate permitting applications with municipal, county, and state agencies.
• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations.
• Assist with proposals, technical reports, cost estimates, and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff while pursuing professional development.
