Varela Engineering and Management, a Spokane-based firm, is seeking mid-level civil engineers to join our team. Open roles focus on drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation infrastructure in eastern Washington.

We value engineers who can work across disciplines, stay engaged with clients, and contribute from planning through operations. PE license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required).
• Mid-level engineering experience (roughly 10–20 years) with municipal infrastructure focus.
• Project management experience is a plus, strong collaboration with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and execution of civil infrastructure projects (drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation).
• Collaborate with City Staff, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
