Job summary

AVCON, INC. in Orlando, FL is seeking an Engineer, Land Development to support infrastructure planning and design, stormwater and pavement design, site layouts, and utility systems, with involvement in entitlement and permitting processes at City, County, and State levels.

You will collaborate with clients and project teams, prepare reports and specifications, and help manage scope, budgets, and schedules. The position is based in AVCON's Orlando office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with StormWise.
• Proficiency with EPANET, WaterCAD, StormCAD or similar software.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Assists in design elements and documentation for projects with clear objectives.
• Prepares project documentation including plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Coordinates multiple projects and manages time to meet budget and deadlines.
• Assists in developing project scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules.
• Assists with bids, project reports, and studies.
• Interacts with clients, contractors, and project team members.
• Attends project meetings and presents engineering aspects.
