Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Scottsdale, AZ office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This is not a remote position.

The ideal candidate will lead site development engineering and project management efforts for residential and commercial projects, coordinate with clients, manage schedules and budgets, and contribute to design and permitting tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools. Strong team leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to build plan sets and construction documents.
• Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Manage a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Support team collaboration with engineers, designers, jurisdictions, and contractors.
• Foster internal and external professional relationships.
