Job summary

BL Companies, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer Mid-Level with 4+ years of experience in land development and related areas in New Jersey. The role focuses on concept plans, site design, and stormwater management while preparing permit-ready documents and reports.

You will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create alignments, surfaces, and contours, coordinate with multiple offices, and support senior staff through the permitting process. A BSCE is required; EIT preferred and PE a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in utility design and/or land development, concept plan preparation, site design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• BSCE
• EIT Certification is preferred. PE is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Grade sites and design of post-construction stormwater management systems.
• In-Depth use of Civil 3D to prepare alignments, surfaces, cut profiles, and generate contours.
• Assist the Senior Engineer in procuring municipal Land Development and NPDES approvals, including research regulations and attending agency meetings.
• Coordinate with project team across multiple offices on design, permitting and construction components.
• Prepare technical reports and plans to acquire permits and permit modifications during construction.
• Research permit requirements and local regulations
• Provide support and assist Sr team members.
