Job summary

BL Companies is seeking a Civil Engineer Mid-Level for Land Development with 4+ years of experience in concept plans, site design and stormwater management. The role involves using AutoCAD Civil 3D to craft alignments and surfaces, and assisting with municipal approvals and permit processes across multiple offices.

You will prepare reports, coordinate with teams, and support design efforts while working in a hybrid environment with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in utility design and/or land development, concept plan preparation, site design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• BSCEEIT Certification is preferred; PE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grade sites and design post-construction stormwater management systems.
• Use Civil 3D to prepare alignments, surfaces, cut profiles and generate contours.
• Assist Senior Engineer in obtaining municipal Land Development and NPDES approvals.
• Coordinate with project teams across multiple offices on design, permitting and construction.
• Prepare technical reports and plans to acquire permits and permit modifications.
• Research permit requirements and local regulations.
