Civil Engineer - Land Development

Job summary

TYG is seeking civil engineers to support Central Indiana land development projects. You will work on greenfield and suburban sites, handling site layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater from concept to construction drawings.

You will engage with developers and design consultants, navigate entitlements and permitting, and contribute to project budgets and schedules. A PM-level path includes leading teams and managing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in land development, site civil, or related infrastructure work.
• Clear communicator with a track record of delivering projects on time.
• EIT or PE license (or progress toward licensure) preferred.

• Site layout, grading and drainage, utilities, and stormwater management from concept to construction drawings.
• Entitlements, rezoning, and permitting with local municipalities and Indiana state agencies.
• Working directly with developers, owners, and design consultants.
• For PM-level candidates: running project teams, managing budgets and schedules, and owning client relationships.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience in land development, site civil, or related infrastructure work
• EIT or PE license (or progress toward licensure) preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Indiana jurisdictional requirements
• Clear communicator with a record of delivering projects on time
