Responsibilities

  • Lead civil engineering efforts from due diligence through construction completion.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate site plans, grading, utilities, drainage, and stormwater designs.
  • Perform feasibility analyses including zoning, utilities, environmental constraints, and entitlements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to meet project objectives.
  • Manage outside consultants and review deliverables for quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate permitting with municipalities, agencies, and utilities.
  • Support site selection through technical evaluations and due diligence.
  • Review geotechnical, environmental, and survey information to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with value engineering to improve constructability and efficiency.
  • Provide engineering support during construction (RFIs, submittals, field conditions, closeout).
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Maintain schedules across multiple active developments.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
  • Lead civil engineering efforts for industrial land development projects from due diligence through construction completion.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate site development plans, grading plans, utility layouts, drainage systems, erosion control plans, and stormwater management designs.
  • Perform site feasibility evaluations, including zoning analysis, utility availability, environmental constraints, and entitlement support.
  • Coordinate with internal development, construction, architecture, and project management teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Manage outside engineering consultants and review engineering deliverables for quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
  • Coordinate permitting efforts with local municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers.
  • Support site selection activities through technical evaluations and engineering due diligence.
  • Review geotechnical reports, environmental studies, and survey information to identify project risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with value engineering initiatives to improve constructability and project efficiency.
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, evaluating field conditions, and assisting with project closeout.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, engineering standards, and permitting requirements.
  • Maintain project schedules while balancing multiple active developments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 4-10+ years of experience in land development, civil engineering, or site development.
  • Experience designing commercial, industrial, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or large-scale site development projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, roadway design, and permitting processes.
  • Experience coordinating with municipalities, utility agencies, and regulatory authorities.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
  • Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal engineering standards and development regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset.
