Job summary

Royal in Louisiana is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer Intern to join our multidisciplinary team. This entry‑level role provides hands‑on experience in engineering design, project management, and client communications while supporting quality control efforts on active projects.

You will assist in preparing reports, plans, cost estimates, schedules, and permit applications, use CAD software, evaluate site conditions, and help with construction administration under the supervision of a licensed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or other relevant disciplines.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive engineering experience under the direct supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Active Louisiana EI designation required.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Provide general, entry‑level support to the engineering department.
Prepare construction cost estimates, schedules, reports, and project design calculations.
Ensure compliance with applicable company and client quality requirements in all assigned programs, functions, and areas.
Prepare design plans and specifications for projects.
Evaluates the physical conditions of the worksite to aid in design plans.
Conduct assessments of damage at worksites.
Use CAD and other design software to develop design documents.
Assist in construction administration duties for projects under construction.
