Placements24 is seeking a proficient Civil Engineer to join a development team in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on planning and executing infrastructure development projects from concept through construction and handover.

You will conduct feasibility studies, design roads and drainage, prepare tender docs, and manage contractors while coordinating with municipal authorities to ensure compliance with environmental and development standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng. or Techni with ECSA.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Proficiency in CAD and civil design software; strong land development understanding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for infrastructure projects.
• Design and detail roads, earthworks, and drainage components.
• Prepare tender documentation, BOQs, and contract specs.
• Manage and supervise construction contractors to ensure design and quality compliance.
• Liaise with municipal authorities, utility providers, and stakeholders.
