Placements24 is seeking a proficient Civil Engineer to join a development team in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on planning and executing infrastructure development projects from concept through construction and handover.

You will conduct feasibility studies, design roads and drainage, prepare tender docs, and manage contractors while coordinating with municipal authorities to ensure compliance with environmental and development standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng. or Techni with ECSA.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Proficiency in CAD and civil design software; strong land development understanding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for infrastructure projects.

This role focuses on the planning and execution of new infrastructure development projects critical to the region's expansion. You will be involved in all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design and feasibility studies through to construction oversight and handover. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for proposed infrastructure development projects.
• Design and detail various civil infrastructure components, including roads, earthworks, and drainage systems.
• Prepare tender documentation, bills of quantities, and contract specifications.
• Manage and supervise construction contractors to ensure projects are delivered according to design and quality standards.
• Liaise with municipal authorities, utility providers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable development principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration as a Candidate Engineer (Pr. Eng. or Techni) with ECSA.
