Placements24 is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join its team in George. The role spans concept to construction oversight with a mix of on-site and remote work, collaborating with senior engineers and project managers.

You will contribute to infrastructure projects, ensure design quality, and support project coordination. This position offers growth within a well-established firm focused on quality and sustainable infrastructure in the Western Cape region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant civil engineering design or construction experience.
• Familiar with CAD software such as AutoCAD and basic engineering design principles.
• Solid understanding of building codes and engineering standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of civil infrastructure including site development, roads, and drainage.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and technical assessments to gather project data.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports under guidance of senior engineers.
• Support construction supervision and provide technical assistance to contractors on-site.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and environmental regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders as needed.
