Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for Paarl, Western Cape. This leadership role oversees construction management from planning through handover, directing project teams, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring safety, quality and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in civil infrastructure or building projects, strong organizational and communication skills, and is capable of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 9 years in construction project management.
• Registration such as Pr. Eng. or Pr. CPM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants for timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Review and approve construction drawings, change orders, and payment applications.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide progress reports to senior management and clients.
