Job summary

Cushing Terrell's Denver office seeks a Civil Engineer in Training to produce construction documents for civil site projects, working onsite with the design team. You will draft site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam, prepare calculations, and research jurisdictional requirements under a senior engineer’s guidance.

You will help produce plans, specifications, and technical memorandums for site systems and water/wastewater design across building projects.

Qualifications

ABET accredited degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of related job experience within the US.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to apply engineering concepts to real world applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
Solid understanding of civil engineering fundamentals.
Has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

Responsibilities

Support licensed project engineers on the design of civil site projects.
Plan layouts for small-scale projects and coordinate deliverables across departments.
Research jurisdictional requirements to inform project design decisions.
Prepare project plans and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
Perform engineering calculations to support project design.
Draft technical memorandums and reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Support construction administration, including onsite field observation.
