Job summary

Cushing Terrell in Denver is seeking a Civil Engineer in Training to join our design team. You will produce construction documents for civil site projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam, and assist in calculations and jurisdictional research.

You will contribute to site systems and water/wastewater design, work under a senior engineer, and help shape the growth of our civil group while building a strong technical foundation.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of related US work experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to apply engineering concepts to real-world projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of civil engineering fundamentals
• FE exam passed (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support licensed project engineers on the design of civil site projects
• Plan layouts for small scale projects and coordinate deliverables across departments
• Research jurisdictional requirements to inform project design decisions
• Prepare project plans and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
• Perform engineering calculations to support project design
• Draft technical memorandums and reports summarizing findings and recommendations
• Support construction administration, including onsite field observation
