City of Midland, Texas is seeking an Engineer I in the Engineering Services Department to support planning, design, and implementation of capital improvement projects across roads, drainage, water and parks.

Under the City Engineer, you will design and supervise construction drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and timelines while coordinating with consultants, regulatory agencies, and contractors to ensure compliance with codes and permits.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and related engineering software.

Responsabilidades

• Design and/or manage the design of projects within the Engineering Services Department, ensuring adherence to standards, project schedules, and budgets.
• Supervise the preparation of construction drawings, cost estimates, specifications, bid documents, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, regulatory agencies, and contractors through planning, design, and construction phases to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to continuously improve engineering process and methodologies.
