Placements24 is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer for a client in George to lead electrical design and deliver projects on time and to spec. The role involves designing and implementing electrical infrastructure for diverse commercial and industrial applications.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience, knowledge of South African codes, and strong collaboration skills to work with site teams and stakeholders. A hybrid work model and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience managing electrical engineering projects.
• Familiarity with South African electrical codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and BOM.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets related to electrical components and systems.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and suppliers during installation and commissioning phases.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and conduct post-project reviews.
