Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Civil Engineer to contribute to a variety of projects under supervision. You will evaluate, select, specify, and engineer civil systems, perform calculations, and engage in field work while supporting senior staff.

The role includes development of design documents, participation in value engineering, and collaboration across disciplines to ensure design intent alignment. Office and field activities are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 5–10 years of civil engineering experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans and reports for relevant project design elements.
• Assists in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of civil systems.
• Prepares and revises documentation in various project phases.
• Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
• Assists in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports.
• Assists with the development of job specific discipline specifications.
• Assists in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materials.
• Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members and external consultants.
• Participates in value engineering and cost estimating.
• Implements sustainable design principles.
• Performs calculations to analyze and design civil system components.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Licensed Professional Engineer

5 - 10 years of experience
