Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead design aspects and address engineering issues across development projects in New York. You will partner with project teams and clients to prepare project documents and deliverables, including site plans, reports, cost estimates, schedules, and permit applications.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 2–4 years of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading design, technical writing, 3-D modeling, MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 2–4 years of civil engineering experience, with leading design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading design, technical writing, 3-D modeling, MS Office, and plan interpretation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams and clients to prepare project documents and proposals.
• Draft, review, and finalize project deliverables including: Site plans, Engineering reports, Cost estimates, Project schedules, Permit applications, Due diligence reports.
• Make edits and modifications to plans based on client and agency feedback.
• Research local/state zoning requirements for properties and projects.
• Conduct site visits and field assignments.
• Analyze site survey data and consider development factors.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete assignments efficiently and according to quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, municipalities, and agencies under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Update Project Manager and Team Leader on workload status.
• Apply fundamental engineering concepts to practical situations.
